The BBC have been forced to apologise over comments made by an Imam who featured on last night’s BBC Conservative leadership debate.
Abdullah from Bristol was featured on the show and asked: “Do the candidates agree that words have consequences?”
In asking that question, Abdullah had seemingly forgotten about some of his previous Tweets:
BBC 5 Live’s Nicky Campbell has since apologised for having Abdullah on the show:
I would like to apologise. We had the Imam from the BBC Tory leadership debate on our programme this morning. His social media comments have been extremely disturbing. We should have checked. We didn’t. I’m sorry.

Are we really to believe that the BBC didn’t bother doing any basic research on his previous comments?
