You Might Be A Covidiot If…

According to Urban Dictionary the definition of Covidiot is:

Someone who ignores the warnings regarding public health or safety. A person who hoards goods, denying them from their neighbours.

In other words, people who are too selfish or downright stupid when it comes to their behaviour during the Coronavirus pandemic. There are plenty of examples of why you might be a Covidiot, but here are a few instances we’ve seen.

Believing China

It’s becoming increasingly harder to believe the numbers coming out of the secretive state. Initially, China tried to hide the virus from the world and punished a doctor for informing colleagues. They even told the World Health Organisation there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission initially:

Still Going Out

Boris Johnson announced an official lockdown last week. Yet, thousands of people are still going out and crowding public places such as parks and outdoor climbing frames. Police had to disperse sunbathers in London and could be heard shouting “can you all go home please, it’s not a holiday, it’s a lockdown.”

Hoarding Supplies

Britain has now stockpiled £1 BILLION worth of food in just three weeks. From pasta to toilet roll, supermarkets across the country are unable to stock shelves quickly enough. This is despite the government urging the public to refrain from hoarding and reassuring us that there is plenty of food.
