News has emerged that the Chinese government is still denying entry of scientists into the country to get to the bottom of the origins of the coronavirus.
World Health Organization experts were due to fly to China and go to Wuhan but at the last minute the Chinese Government said there were issues with their visas.
Covid-19 was first detected in the Chinese province of Hubei where the city of Wuhan is at the back end of 2019.
It was thought that a local wet market was the source of the virus. But this has been thrown into doubt. Some experts believe that while the virus may have grown quickly at the market it wasn’t the origin.
Unredacted has been conducting a poll of its readers. It found that the overwhelming majority of people – 8 out of 10 – think investigators must be allowed into China to get to the bottom of how coronavirus started.
