Prince Harry spoke to his brother William and father Charles for the first time following his interview with Oprah Winfrey, Megan’s friend Gayle King revealed today.

Gayle, who is a CBS presenter and close friends with both Meghan and Oprah, revealed on CBS This Morning that Harry had spoken to the Duke of Cambridge and Prince of Wales.

However, she claimed the conversations were ‘not productive’ and that both Harry and Meghan demanded the ‘royals intervene and tell the press to stop with the unfair, inaccurate, false stories that definitely have a racist slant.’

It comes as the Daily Mail’s owner complained to CBS for doctoring headlines during a section of the Oprah interview designed to show the British press were racist towards Meghan.

Mr King said: ‘I’m not trying to break news, but I actually did call them to see how they were feeling, and it’s true, Harry has talked to his brother and he has talked to his father too. The word I was given was that the conversations were not productiv e.

‘And I think what is still upsetting to them is the palace keep saying they want to work it out privately, but yet, they believe these stories are coming out that are very disparaging against Meghan, still.’
