Meghan And Harry Join Joe Rogan Spotify Protest

Meghan and Harry denounced COVID “misinformation” on Spotify, shortly after a number of music artists abandoned the platform over podcaster Joe Rogan. The pair have demanded that Shopify make “changes” to the service.

A spokesman for the pair’s Archewell foundation has aired concerns the pair have regarding the situation.

“Since the inception of Archewell, we have worked to address the real-time global misinformation crisis,” the statement read. “Hundreds of millions of people are affected by the serious harms of rampant misinformation and disinformation every day.”

“Last April, our co-founders [Meghan and Harry] began expressing concerns to our partners at Spotify about the all too real consequences of COVID-19 misinformation on its platform,” the statement continued. “We have continued to express our concerns to Spotify to ensure changes to its platform are made to help address this public health crisis.”

Their criticisms come despite Meghan and Harry having a lucrative deal with Spotify worth $25 million.
